Hunter Stevenson

Senior Pastor

Hunter Stevenson is our Senior Pastor. He grew up in Greenville, SC and graduated from Furman University. After teaching mathematics for 6 years at Spartanburg High School, he attended Reformed Theological Seminary where he received a Masters of Divinity. Hunter served as the Youth Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Macon for 7 years before becoming the pastor of NMPC in 2010. He is married to Heather and they have 4 children. Hunter enjoys college sports, reading and hiking.

Bob Brunson

Executive Pastor

Bob Brunson is our Executive Pastor. Originally from Gadsden, Alabama, Bob graduated from the University of Alabama in 1979, from Reformed Theological Seminary in 1986, and was ordained in the PCA in 1987. Over the years he has served as both a pastor and an associate pastor in a variety of settings, most recently as Executive Pastor for Church of the Redeemer in Sandy Springs (Atlanta). Bob is married to Karen and they have 2 married children and two grandchildren. Bob’s hobbies are reading good books and playing bad golf.

Mark Ballard

Youth Director

Mark Ballard is our Youth Director. He began serving at NMPC in January of 2015. Mark grew up in Macon and attended Tattnall Square Academy and GC&SU in Milledgeville. Mark is married to Kara. They are currently enrolled in online counseling courses with CCEF (The Christian Counseling Education Foundation). They enjoy hiking, biking, hunting, gardening, fishing, cooking, playing Frisbee, exploring, and some good old-fashioned yardwork.

Kathy Pye

Secretary

Kathy Pye is our Administrative Assistant. She has worked for North Macon since January 1991. Kathy is married to Charlie and between them they have seven children and fifteen grandchildren. She went to Georgia College and then went on to Crandall Business College where she received an Executive Secretarial Degree. Kathy enjoys reading, music, keeping her grandchildren and cooking with her husband.

Monni Parrish

Financial Director

Monni Parrish joined our staff part-time in 2013 as pianist and 2016 as financial director. She expanded her role to full-time adding an administrative assistant role in September 2019. After graduating from Wesleyan College with a double major in business and music, she worked for Dick McLemore, CPA focusing on church accounting. She has worked with several churches around Macon including First Presbyterian Church downtown. Monni is married to Charlie and they have two children, Andrei and Nicole. She enjoys reading, spending time with family and playing pickleball with friends.

Melanie Buckner

Music Director

Melanie Buckner joined our staff in February 2020 as our Music Director. She grew up in Montezuma, GA and attended Mercer University where she received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Music degrees. After several years of teaching music in the university and serving in the church, Melanie earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting from the University of South Carolina. She teaches private music lessons and enjoys working with musicians of all ages. She is married to Josh, and they love playing pickleball!

Holly Shepley

Preschool Director

Holly has recently joined our staff as Preschool Director. She has been a member of North Macon Presbyterian Church for 13 years. Holly is a graduate of Mercer University with a degree in Education. She has been a teacher for 25 years, most recently serving the past two years as a 2K & 5K teacher at North Macon Preschool. Holly is married to Matt and they have four children. She enjoys being with her family, trips to the library, and watching Braves baseball.

Megan Cathey

Children's Ministry Director

Megan Cathey joined our staff in November 2022 as the Interim Children’s Ministry Director. Megan has previously served in the Children’s Ministry in various teaching and volunteer roles and is a member of the Children’s Ministry Committee. Prior to serving as the Interim Children’s Director, Megan was legal counsel for a local bank. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and holds a juris doctorate from Washington and Lee University. Megan is married to Matt, and they have three children. Megan enjoys reading, Wordle, and spending time with her family.
