The Sunday Morning Worship service at NMPC begins at 10:45 a.m. in the sanctuary. Christian education classes for children, youth, and adults meet weekly from 9:30-10:30 a.m. throughout the year.

THE SERVICE

Our order of worship is shaped by our commitment as Presbyterians to do in worship only the things that we see taught in the Scriptures in the passages that instruct us how to worship God as His people:

  • Reading and preaching of Scripture
  • Singing of songs new and old
  • Prayers of adoration, confession, and intercession
  • Affirmation of our faith using the ancient creeds
  • Celebration of the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper

All these elements are to be enjoyed in the fellowship of God’s people and are all part of an ordinary service here at NMPC.

The Lord’s Supper

We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month. All who profess faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and have been received into the membership of a church where the gospel is taught and believed are welcome to join us at the Lord’s table.

Worship Music

Our music is a blend of rich traditional hymns and new expressions of praise to help us “sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in our hearts to God” (Col. 3:16) as a congregation.

“Dress Code”

There is no dress code for worship at NMPC, though many people choose to come dressed in business casual. Some may choose to be a little more dressed up while others may choose to wear less dressy attire. You are welcome to come as you are!

CHILDREN IN WORSHIP

A nursery is provided for newborns to 3-year-olds for both morning worship and the Christian education hour on Sundays. Children ages 4 through 1st grade attend worship in the sanctuary until they are dismissed to Children’s Church for “Teach Me to Worship,” a curriculum designed to help them understand each element of the worship service in preparation for joining us for the entire service when they reach 2nd grade. That said, if you would like to keep your children with you in worship, you are more than welcome to do so!
