In Acts 2:42, Luke tells us that the early Christians “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching”, and we are committed to following their example here at North Macon Presbyterian Church.

Alongside the weekly preaching of the Word in morning worship, we offer a number of groups and studies designed to help adults of all ages engage with the Scriptures in a meaningful, practical way throughout the week, including:

Adult Sunday Communities

An Adult Sunday Community is a gathering of adults during the Sunday School hour who share a similar season of life, designed to provide a weekly opportunity to:

  • Care and pray for one another as an expression of ordinary Christian friendship.
  • Study and apply the Word of God to the unique challenges of each season of adult life.

A Sunday Community also provides those who are new to NMPC an easy, simple, and obvious first step into the life of the congregation.

Wednesday Night Adult Study

Every week throughout the school year, the church family gathers on Wednesday nights at 5:45 p.m. for dinner followed by groups and studies for children, youth, and adults at 6:30 p.m. Central to it all is the large group study for adults of all ages held in the Fellowship Hall, where we regularly dig into biblical books and meaty topical studies together.

Our intergenerational Summer Wednesday Night Fellowships in June and July offer a change of pace as the focus shifts to reports on the outreach ministries of NMPC and our ministry partners at home and abroad.

SUMMER BOOK GROUPS

Each summer we read a book together as a congregation and gather on Sunday mornings to discuss and apply what we’re learning to our lives. Past summer books include classics like Pilgrims Progress or C.S. Lewis’ The Screwtape Letters, as well as outstanding newer titles on a variety of subjects.

Come join us as we grow together here at NMPC!
