Our mission is to serve NMPC & its members by sponsoring & planning activities for the congregation, contributing to the aesthetics of the building & assisting in preparation of communion. We aspire to use the skills & talents of each woman to accomplish these goals & provide a hospitable atmosphere for the congregation, guests & visitors. In this way, we reflect the ministry of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who by his own sacrifice, displayed the very nature of a servant.
We offer several areas to serve & we would love to have you join us. It’s a great way to get to know other women in the church.
On a rotating basis, members contribute food for meals for families after a funeral or refreshments for other special occasions such as employment retirement. They will also be sure that coffee and doughnuts are available on Sunday mornings along with clean-up afterwards. Myra Baker is chairman.
This committee is responsible for preparing the items needed for communion on the first Sunday of each month. Members participate about twice a year. Chairman is Patricia Hughes.
This team makes sure that there are flowers in the sanctuary each Sunday (except communion Sunday), holiday decorations (Easter and Christmas) and flowers for any of the Special Events, if needed. It has been expanded to include an aesthetics approach to church upkeep. Ideas to improve the church décor (inside or outside), are submitted to the Session for review. This committee is chaired by Beth McSween.
This is a new committee headed by Marie Seay. Its purpose is to provide venue(s) for women of all ages to gather for fellowship and fun.
We are always open for your suggestions & ideas. Please contact me, Becky Gorman, chairman, or any of the above chairmen with any questions or if you are interested in joining any of these committees.
